Case Overview
Our client temporarily lent a credit card to an acquaintance on the basis of personal trust, but the acquaintance used the card without authorization to make repeated high-value purchases, then repeatedly broke promises to repay and avoided contact, persisting in deceptive conduct. In the process, our client was even pressured for cash and faced the threat of further losses. Concluding that a private resolution was no longer possible, our client proceeded with a criminal complaint.
Our Strategy
This was not a simple financial dispute: from the outset, the other party had used the money after making false representations despite having neither the intent nor the ability to repay, so the structure of the case supported a fraud charge. We systematically organized and submitted to the investigators the suspect's repeated deception, broken promises to repay, and the scale and circumstances of the loss, and also emphasized the suspect's criminal record and the repeated use of the same method, ensuring an effective investigation. As a result, the investigation was launched promptly and our client's rights were restored on a secure footing.
