Case Overview
Our client was accused of Obscene acts by using means of communication, editing and distributing falsified videos (violation of the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes), and violation of the Protection of Communications Secrets Act, and was subjected to police investigation. Because the charges included offenses involving falsified videos such as deepfakes, which investigative authorities have recently been cracking down on severely, it was an extremely serious situation that could easily have led to heavy punishment.
Our Strategy
DAEON intervened swiftly from the earliest stage of the case, closely analyzing the objective facts and meticulously identifying the contradictions in the complainant's claims. We actively demonstrated that the evidence submitted to the investigative authorities was far from sufficient to prove any offense by our client, and as a result secured a decision of 'No Charges Filed (no suspicion) for insufficient evidence' on all charges from the Seoul Guro Police Station.
