When one of the defendants claimed to have had no intent, asserting that he was 'a victim deceived into a simple remittance-agent part-time job,' DAEON's attorneys zeroed in on the fact that he had taken a high 5% commission merely for making transfers, sharply establishing negligent aiding-and-abetting liability for the criminal use of the account.
