In this case, a legally married couple with children who could no longer continue their marriage applied to the Seoul Family Court for mediation of divorce and related matters. Through the court's mediation procedure, both parties amicably agreed on the complex issues of parental authority and custodian designation, Division of Property, and child support, and successfully concluded the mediation.

We secured our client's designation as the sole holder of parental authority and custodian of the twin children, while specifying a concrete visitation schedule and handover method to place the children's welfare and emotional stability first. We also achieved a reasonable Division of Property under which the parties mutually waived their rights to claim division of public pensions and each asset was definitively allocated according to the name in which it was held, and we established a no-further-suit agreement barring any additional claims relating to the marriage, such as Consolation Money or further property division, cutting off future legal disputes at the source.
