Our client, the defendant, had received a suspended sentence for indecent assault and assault against the plaintiff during his military service, and the plaintiff brought a claim against him for KRW 30 million in consolation money.

While it was true that the defendant had committed indecent assault and assault against the plaintiff, we argued logically that KRW 30 million in consolation money was grossly excessive, and ultimately obtained a judgment reducing the award from KRW 30 million to KRW 8 million.
